The BANNED BELLE Hoodie (assorted colors)

The BANNED BELLE design was one of my very first attempts at designing a golf logo. I was not very impressed with my home club’s (Belleair CC) logo despite the course being ranked within the Top 100 Courses by Golf Week and it being the oldest course in the STate of Florida.

I designed this logo to pay homage to the rare Black Fox Squirrels that roam Belleair’s fairways- a species of squirrel that are not plentiful in the state of Florida. In the squirrel’s mouth is a pre-1900 long nose driver which is a nod to the long history of the club. 

Despite my love for the logo and an offer to give the club this logo for free, the club turned it down- hence the playful use of the word “banned.” 

Up until now only my friends and family had access to my original design. I also believe it’s one of the few golf logos that incorporates a Black Fox Squirrel- although I did give Pinehurst permission to use a similar design. The folks in the pro shop loved my logo so much they took photos - and now when you visit Pinehurst Resort you can see a nod to my first original design!
